Entry into Hometown Holidays Music Festival (HTH), and the Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade is free. Hours of operation are:

Hometown Holidays
Saturday, May 23: 12 - 8 p.m.
Sunday, May 24: 12 - 8 p.m.

Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade
Monday, May 25:
9 a.m. - Musical Tribute
9:30 a.m. - Ceremony
10:30 a.m. - Parade


Rockville strives to provide access to all programs and services regardless of ability. Contact the ADA Coordinator at 240-314-8137 or e-mail with questions regarding access to HTH.


Well-behaved, leashed, and licensed dogs are welcome at HTH. All other animals, other than services animals, should not be brought to HTH.

The beach is located on Middle Lane outside of Gordon Biersch. Join us on Sunday morning at 10 a.m. for yoga on the beach brought to you by Thrive Yoga. Bring a mat and meet at the beach


Water and assorted alcoholic beverages and the 2020 HTH collectors mug are available for purchase at beverage booths located throughout the festival. Beverage booths accept cash and credit. Taste of Rockville and kids amusement tickets cannot be used at beverage booths.


Rockville is a bike-friendly community. The City also has several Capital Bikeshare stations located near town center. Bikes are not permitted to be ridden in the festival area. Learn more about biking in Rockville.

HTH Accepts cash and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover). ATMs are location throughout town center.


A limited number of chairs will be provided throughout the event. Guests are encouraged to bring beach/lawn chairs and blankets to ensure comfortable seating.

City of Rockville Information Booth

The City of Rockville will be onsite to answer your questions regarding City services and offerings. This booth is location next to the HTH information booth near the intersection of Maryland Ave., and E. Middle Ln.

Community Partners

Stop by and learn about some wonderful community organizations doing great work in our community. These booths are located along Middle Lane.

  • HTH is located in Rockville Town Center in the heart of Rockville, Maryland.
  • From I-270, take either exit 5 or exit 6 and head east into Rockville. Follow signs for parking.
  • From Route 355/Rockville Pike, going north into Rockville, turn left onto Route 28 and follow signs for parking.
  • From up county using Route 355/Rockville Pike, drive south into Rockville and use the parking garage located off of Route 355/Rockville Pike or turn right onto Route 28 and follow signs for parking.
Elected Officials and Political Candidates
Onsite Booth
Elected officials and those running for office may have a booth on site at HTH. Please download and complete an application, and submit payment to participate.

Current elected officials may participate in parades sponsored by the City of Rockville, including City of Rockville and other municipal, county, state and federal elected officials. Download an application.

Candidates for City of Rockville Mayor and Council offices may participate in parades if they are certified to appear on the ballot by the City’s Board of Supervisors of Elections. For the Memorial Day parade, participants must be certified by May 15.

Individuals who are not elected officials and are candidates for non-City of Rockville elected office may not participate in parades sponsored by the City of Rockville. Please review the City of Rockville Campaign Policy for additional information.

First Aid

First aid is located near the intersection of Middle Ln. and Maryland Ave. outside of Starbucks.


Food is available at the Taste of Rockville located along Courthouse Sq. or at one of the many restaurants located in Town Center.

Be sure to bring a valid ID if you plan on buying some alcoholic beverages at the festival. We do check IDs.


The festival information tent is located on the corner of E. Middle Ln. and Maryland Ave. near Gordon Biersch. You can ask festival questions, look for lost items, turn in found items or just stop by to say hi.
Kids Activities

All kid's amusements are located in the lot near Middle Lane and Rt. 355. Kids amusements are brought to you by Ultimate Amusements. There is a fee for these activities. Amusement tickets cannot be used at the Taste of Rockville or at beverage booths. Free kids entertainment is available on the Kid's Stage throughout the weekend. The Rockville beach is also a lot of fun for the little ones and is located on Middle Lane.
Lost and Found

Did you lose something at HTH? Or find something at HTH? Come to the information tent near the intersection of E. Middle Ln. and Maryland Avenue and let us know and we will take it from there. If you are looking for an item after the event, call us at 240-314-8620 or e-mail us at and we will let you know if it was turned in.

Memorial Day

Join the City of Rockville on Monday, May 25 for the Memorial Day Ceremony and 76th annual parade. Learn more about the Memorial Day festivities.


Take the Metro red line to the Rockville station. Exit on the Rockville Pike side and follow the sounds of music across the street to Middle Ln. MARC train service will not be running over Memorial Day Weekend.


There's plenty of it all weekend. Take a look at the line-up.
Free parking is available in the Metro lots (Sunday and Monday only) and City Hall lots.
Paid parking is available for $5 in the Town Sq. garages located off Rt. 355 or N. Washington St. from 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, and from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Monday, May 25. Cash and credit accepted. Regular parking rates apply at all other times.
Dawson's Market parking spaces are reserved for customer only.

Prohibited Items
For the safety of our guests, please do not bring the following to HTH:
  • Glass containers
  • Bikes, rollerblades, skateboards, etc.

Portable restrooms are located throughout the festival.

Road Closures

There will be road closures associated with HTH.

Smoking is prohibited in City parks. If you choose to smoke, please be aware of those around you.

Taste of Rockville

Some of Rockville's best restaurants will offer tastes of their dishes at the Taste of Rockville. Tickets can be purchased at a Taste of Rockville ticket booth for a $1.25 each. The Taste of Rockville is organized by the Rockville Chamber of Commerce and Community Reach of Montgomery County. Taste of Rockville tickets cannot be used at beverage booths or for kids amusements.
